Towing in Knoxville, TN
Knoxville Towing Co comes to the vehicle. The desk covers the I-40/I-75 overlap through West Knoxville, the I-640 bypass, Alcoa Highway toward the airport, and the surface streets from Market Square out Kingston Pike. Call, describe the spot, and hear the price before a truck is assigned.
Where a Knoxville Tow Actually Starts
I-40 and I-75 share one pavement from the Watt Road split through Farragut and West Knoxville to the I-640 junction west of downtown. The exits that change the job are Campbell Station, Lovell Road, Pellissippi Parkway, Cedar Bluff, Kingston Pike, and Papermill. Naming one of those is more useful than saying the car is somewhere on the west side.
Off the interstate, Kingston Pike runs from Bearden through West Hills toward Farragut. Chapman Highway climbs south from the Henley Street bridge. Clinton Highway runs north through Powell. On a game day at Neyland, Neyland Drive and Cumberland Avenue belong in the same sentence as the exit number.

Day or night
A Dispatcher Answers, Including Overnight
Breakdowns on the overlap, dead batteries in a Turkey Creek row, and cars off the pavement along Fort Loudoun Lake do not wait for a weekday. If the vehicle will not roll, or it is already in a ditch, say that. It may be a winch-out rather than a flatbed load, and the price should match the work.

Pin the spot
Interstate and exit, or a surface street and a cross street. On the overlap, direction matters as much as the exit number.
Hear the price, then we roll a truck
The figure is for the job you described. If the scene is different, dispatch calls before the work grows.
Load it and take it where you asked
The driver checks clearance and which wheels will roll, then drops the vehicle at the shop or driveway you named, with an invoice.
What the Call Is Like
The number comes first
You hear a price on the phone, including after midnight, before a truck is assigned.
We meet the vehicle
There is no public counter and no street address to drive to. Describe the spot and we come to it.
A certificate when a shop asks
Shops, lots, and insurers can ask dispatch for proof of insurance. A license number is not posted on this site.
A person, not a mailbox
Overnight and holidays included. The phone is not a recording that promises a callback in the morning.
What the Trucks Are Set Up to Carry
Say what it is when you call. A commuter car at UT, a diesel on Oak Ridge Highway, and a box truck near Watt Road are not the same load.
Cars and crossovers
Daily drivers from Kingston Pike, Turkey Creek, and the campus lots. All-wheel drive rides on a flatbed.
Pickups
Work trucks and personal pickups, including diesels that need a real jump pack rather than a small booster.
SUVs
Family SUVs on Pellissippi, Alcoa Highway, and the interstate shoulders.
Motorcycles
Bikes are strapped, not dragged. Say whether it is upright and whether a trailer is involved.
Vans and box trucks
Cargo vans and light box trucks on the West Knoxville frontage. Give the length. This is not a semi tow.
Towing and Recovery
Heavier work than a spare tire or a jump. Each job has its own page.
Emergency Towing
Knoxville does not go quiet at midnight. The overlap through West Knoxville, the I-640 loop, and Alcoa Highway still have cars on the shoulder. A dispatcher answers, and you hear a price before anyone is sent.
Learn more →Accident Towing
A crash tow has two jobs: clear the lane, and leave a record a shop or an insurer can use. The driver photographs the car before it moves.
Learn more →Flatbed Towing
When all four wheels need to be off the ground, the truck is a flatbed. That is the usual load for all-wheel drive, a missing wheel, or a car too low for a wheel-lift.
Learn more →Long-Distance Towing
Some vehicles should not be driven another exit, let alone another city. A long tow from Knoxville follows I-40, I-75, or whichever route actually reaches the address you give.
Learn more →Private Property Towing
A vehicle blocking a fire lane, or sitting in an assigned space after the property has already given notice, is a private-property tow. It happens only when the person who controls the lot authorizes that vehicle.
Learn more →Winch-Out
A winch-out is for a vehicle that is no longer on the pavement: a soft shoulder, a ditch, mud after a storm, or a car that will not roll onto a bed.
Learn more →Roadside Help That Stays at the Car
Not every stop needs a tow. Lockouts, jump starts, fuel, and flat tires are handled at the vehicle when that is the whole problem.
Vehicle Lockout
Keys in the car at Market Square, in a Turkey Creek row, or in a campus lot are a lockout when the car itself does not need a tow.
Learn more →Jump Start
If the engine will not crank and the vehicle is somewhere a technician can stand safely, a jump start is the job. If it starts and then dies, the conversation turns into a tow.
Learn more →Fuel Delivery
Fuel delivery is a few gallons of the fuel you name, enough to reach a station. It is not a full tank, and it is not priced like the pump.
Learn more →Flat Tire Change
A usable spare turns a flat into a roadside change. A missing spare, a shredded spare, or a bent wheel turns it into a flatbed ride to a tire shop you choose.
Learn more →The Overlap, the Bypass, and the Pike
I-40 and I-75 run together from Watt Road, exit 369, through Farragut and West Knoxville to the I-640 junction just west of downtown. Along that shared stretch, Campbell Station is exit 373, Lovell Road is 374, Pellissippi Parkway is 376, Cedar Bluff is 378, Kingston Pike at West Hills is 380, and Papermill Drive is 383. Turkey Creek sits off Parkside Drive between the pike and that frontage.
I-640 is the north bypass. I-75 leaves the overlap there and continues past Merchants Drive, Callahan Drive, and Emory Road at Powell, exit 112. I-40 stays east through downtown. Alcoa Highway, the road to McGhee Tyson Airport in Alcoa and on to Maryville, is exit 386B.
Kingston Pike is the west surface street, from Bearden out toward Farragut and, farther on, Lenoir City. Chapman Highway, US-441, leaves downtown south across the river. Clinton Highway, US-25W, runs north through Powell toward Halls on Emory Road. Market Square and Gay Street are the downtown pins worth naming. Fort Loudoun Lake is the Tennessee River through the city. Melton Hill Lake is the Clinch, out by Solway and Oak Ridge. On a UT game day, Neyland Drive, Cumberland Avenue, and the Henley Street bridge belong in the location, not just the interstate.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do you need from me before a truck is sent?
Call (865) 260-7911 with the vehicle, the road, and what it is doing. On the I-40/I-75 overlap, add the exit and the direction. You hear a price before anyone is assigned. If the scene does not match that description, dispatch calls before the work changes.
Is a person answering at 3 a.m. and on holidays?
Yes. The same desk answers overnight, on weekends, and on holidays. You will not land in a mailbox that waits until morning.
Which Knoxville roads do you cover, and which towns?
Knoxville itself, including the I-40/I-75 overlap from Watt Road through Papermill, I-640, Alcoa Highway, Pellissippi Parkway, Kingston Pike, Chapman Highway, and Clinton Highway. Town pages cover Farragut, Powell, Halls, Karns, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Alcoa, and Lenoir City.
Can a shop or a property manager get proof of insurance?
Ask dispatch and we will send a certificate of insurance when a shop, a lot, or an insurer needs it. We do not publish a license number on this site.
Will you talk with my insurer after a wreck?
If you ask us to, we will speak with the adjuster and send the itemized invoice and the scene photos from the accident tow. We do not choose your body shop.
The car is in a ditch and will not roll. Is that a normal tow?
That is a winch-out. Tell dispatch how far the vehicle is from the pavement and whether it is upright. You will hear a recovery price before a truck is sent.
Can I drive the car to your lot?
There is no public counter and no street address to plug into a map. This is a service-area company. We come to the vehicle.
